Philadelphia Police are describing the double-murder on Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park on Friday as a 'crime of passion.' Investigators say that 25-year-old Shakoor Arline and 32-year-old Lisa Smith were having a sexual encounter in the back seat of an SUV when someone opened the door and fired 9 shots, all of them to the head. Autopsy results are still pending but they believe this happened between midnight and 5 a.m. The bodies were discovered by a maintenance crew around 2:40 p.m. Friday. Both Arline and Smith were romantically involved with other people. Police already talked with Arline's girlfriend. They are looking to talk to Smith's boyfriend. Captain James Clark of the Homicide Unit said, "Somebody knew they were in the park at that time and obviously had issue with that." Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334/3335.

An arrest has been made in the hit-and-run crash that killed a 9-year-old boy in Northampton County on Friday. Darius Condash was struck and killed while crossing the street by the Wawa in Hanover Township near Schoenersville Road and Route 22. The driver fled the scene. Darius died at the hospital. Police have announced that they have arrested a suspect. The suspect's identity or details on the arrest have not been released.

UPDATE: 22-year-old Royce Atkins of Hanover Township was charged Monday. (see photo below)

New Castle County police have charged a woman in the 1985 murder of a Wilmington, DE man. On July 1st, 1985, 54-year-old Joseph Braun was found beaten to death in his home and his car stolen. The car was recovered a week later in Philadelphia but the case went cold. In 1999, police got a tip on a possible suspect, but that man had died in 1997. However, they learned that the suspect's girlfriend, Sandra Hartzag, was present at the time of the murder. Authorities have finally been able to track her down and link her to the crime with evidence. 50-year-old Hartzag was taken into custody in Dalton, GA and awaits extradition to Delware. She is charged with murder, robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a deadly weapon.

Tonight,
Mostly Cloudy, temperatures in the mid 50s this evening in Center City
