Creato Toxicology Results Negative; SEPTA Bus/Flatbed Truck Collide; False Report of Needle in Candy

According to an attorney for Brendan Creato's father, D.J., toxicology results for the boy whose body was found in the woods near his home three weeks ago have come back negative. Brenden went missing on October 13th from his father's apartment in the Westmont section of Haddon Township. His body was found a few hours later in a wooded area near the Cooper River a few blocks away. Autopsy results were inconclusive and the medical examiner was not able to determine a cause of death. Investigators say that there were no signs of sexual abuse and that there were no signs of forced entry into the Creato home. D.J. called police around 6 a.m. and said he had just woke up and that his son was missing. The boy was found around 9 a.m. by K-9 units. Police are continuing to investigate.

Three people were injured after a SEPTA bus collided with a flatbed truck in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia this afternoon. It happened just before 12:30 p.m. Monday on the 7900 block of Oxford Avenue near Rhawn Street. The Route 18 bus was making a right hand turn onto Oxford Ave when it collided with the truck. The two vehicles then struck a building. The bus driver and two passengers were taken to Aria-Torresdale with non-life threatening injuries. (see picture below)

There have been several reports in the area of people finding needles in Halloween candy, but police say one man in South Jersey made up his story. 37-year-old Robert Ledrew of Blackwood, NJ posted a picture of four sewing needles in four pieces of candy to Facebook on Saturday night. He then reported the candy to Gloucester Township police on Sunday. While questioning him, authorities discovered that Ledrew put the needles in the candy himself in some effort to show his kids to be careful with their candy. He was arrested and charged with making a false police report.
