Rosemont College has announced that it will cut tuition by 43% starting next year. The Main Line institution will lower the cost from $32,000 to $18,500. Room and board will also be lowered by $1,900. The liberal arts school wants to be more affordable for more students. Rosemont's president says that the current tuition is artificially high and that the majority of the students receive a discount. Financial aid will also be lower once the tuition is also lowered in 2016.

Camden, NJ, has announced that parking will be available in the city during the weekend of the Papal Visit. They are calling it the "Gateway to the Pope" and hope to park 8,000 cars. Special permits will cost $43.78. After parking you can take PATCO, the river ferry, or simply walk over the Ben Franklin Bridge to get to Philadelphia. You'll have to buy your PATCO tickets ahead of time as well as your parking permits. You can find all the information at: GatewayToThePope.com

Groundbreaking was held this afternoon for the restoration of the Divine Lorraine Hotel on North Broad Street and Ridge. The building, built in the 1890's, has been shuttered since 1999 and sits as an architectural wonder attracting urban explorers, graffiti artists, and less desirable visitors since. Developer Eric Blumenfeld purchased the building with plans to add 100 luxury apartments with ground floor retail and dining. A pop-up shop selling Divine Lorraine merchandise including mugs, bags, and apparel was set up in the lobby following the ceremony. Thousands rsvp'd to the pop-up shop with a line that stretched around the block, showing Philly's fascination with the building.

Tonight,
Clear skies, temperatures in the low 80s/upper 70s this evening in Center City
