Kathleen Kane Documents Released: Porn and Threats; Reading Terminal #OpenInPHL Pope; VA TV Shooting

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has released dozens of emails that contain pornographic images sent or received by members of the state attorney general's office. Embattled Attorney General Kathleen Kane has suggested that her legal predicament is an attempt by those involved in the porn email scandal to keep their names hidden. Kane claims that two former prosecutors, Frank Fina and Marc Costanzo, manufactured the grand jury probe against her to prevent the release of the e-mails. The release contains 1,000's of documents related to Kane's investigation into the porn emails and the emails themselves. The documents also include accusations that agents of Kathleen Kane's office intimidated witnesses when they arrived to testify at the grady jury.

Historic Reading Terminal Market has decided that it will remain open during the World Meeting of Families and the Papal Visit next month. It will operate on a modified schedule on the weekend. Friday and Saturday it will open regularly at 8am and close at 7pm adding an extra hour. On Sunday it will open an hour early at 8am and close at 3pm, 2 hours early. The City of Philadelphia has announced a new campaign called â€œI'll Be There #OpenInPHLâ€ to get the city excited and energized for the upcoming visit of Pope Francis. There will be 40 jumbotrons placed throughout the 'Francis Festival' grounds so everyone will be able to see what is happening. The city will begin distributing #OpenInPHL kits August 31 to businesses. They will also be available at 30th Street Station, African-American Chamber of Commerce, Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Independence Visitor Center, Philadelphia International Airport, Pennsylvania Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market.

A former employee of WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, VA shot and killed a reporter and cameraman during a live remote interview early Wednesday morning before eventually turning the gun on himself. 41-year-old Vester Flanagan (known as Bryce Williams on-air) was a reporter for the CBS-affiliate channel 7 before being let go. 24-year-old reporter Alison Parker and 27-year-old cameraman Adam Ward were conducting a live interview with Vicki Gardner of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce at 6:45 a.m. when Flanagan approached the crew. He also recorded the events and posted it to social media. They did not notice as he raised a hand gun and opened fire. Parker and Ward were killed, Gardner was injured and is recovering at the hospital. Around 11:30 am, as police tried to stop Flanagan along the highway, he shot himself. Investigators are going through a 23-page fax he sent to ABC News.
