Radnor Burglar Identified; MontCo Man Charged Infant Abuse; South Philly Woman Knocked Out

Radnor Police have now identified the suspect wanted in connection with a home burglary last week on the Main Line. Police say that 27-year-old Matthew Heckman of Upper Darby was identified by tipsters as the man seen in surveillance video riding the SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line after the crime. On April 17 around 11 a.m., a 79-year-old Rosemont woman returned to her home on Hawthorne Road road to discover her front door broken and a man inside filling a suitcase with valuables. She escaped to a neighbor and called 911. Witnesses saw the suspect leave the home and head towards the train. SEPTA surveillance caught him riding towards Upper Darby and getting off at the Parkview Station. If you have any information on Heckman's whereabouts you should call 911.

A Montgomery County man has been arrested and charged with physically abusing a 3-month-old baby in Lower Providence Township. The investigation began after the child was treated for arm, leg, and skull fractures at Einstein Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Bruce Long is charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and related offenses. Investigators say that he twisted the infant's legs causing them to break and hit the it's head of a set of drawers causing the skull fracture. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for April 29th.

Philadelphia Police are looking for a man who knocked out a woman walking home from the gym in South Philadelphia last week. It happened at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th on the 700 block of Montrose near South 8th Street. Witnesses heard the punch and looked outside to see the suspect holding the unconscious victim. When asked what was happening the suspect put the woman down and left. He is described as a black male around 20 years of age, 5' 7â€, medium build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a unique design on the hood, and bright red/orange laces in his shoes. The victim suffered a fractured jaw, broken tooth, and does not remember much of the attack.
