A fraternity at Penn State University has been suspended amid allegations that it operated secret Facebook pages containing nude and inappropriate pictures of females seemingly taken without their consent. The national office of Kappa Delta Rho has suspended the Penn State chapter for one year in the wake of the investigation. A former member of the fraternity tipped off the police in January to the two invitation-only Facebook pages that had both current and alumni members of the fraternity as part of the group. The postings contained images of nude females apparently passed out and some in sexual positions or embarrassing positions. The subjects did not appear aware that their photos were being taken. No charges have been filed but police are still trying to identify the victims and the members who posted on the pages.

Philadelphia Police believe that robbery was the motive in the shooting death of a man out walking his dog in Overbrook Park last week. 51-year-old James Stuhlman was shot once in the chest and was killed while he was out walking his dog Molly on the 6400 block of Woodcrest Avenue last Thursday evening. Police were able to find surveillance video of the incident. They say that a group of three males wearing backpacks randomly targeted Stuhlman. They were first seen stalking another victim but then started following Stuhlman. The robbers did not make off with much as his wallet, cash and jewelry were all found on him. There is a reward of $22,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Investigators in Cheltenham have ruled the fire that destroyed the Wyncote Academy school building was intentionally set. The blaze happened around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14th on the 7900 block of Washington Lane. The main building was built in the 1870's and was stone with a slate roof. There were some additions built for classrooms since the school opened in 1973. “The cause is incendiary,” Cheltenham Fire Marshal Joe O’Neill said. “It was deliberately set and is still under investigation.” They did not go into further detail as to the kind of incendiary. Police are currently working to find who would have set the fire. Wyncote Academy serves grades 6-12 and enrolls only 65 students. Most of the students find the school a safe haven and have had difficulty in traditional scholastic environments. The school will rent space from nearby Gratz College.
