Ft Myers Police Detain Nate Allen, McCord in Court Today, Dustin Niebert Sought in Home Invasion

The Fort Myers Police department released a statement on Monday night regarding Eagles' safety Nate Allen. Allen, a native of Fort Myers, Florida, was detained by police according to the statement. An investigation involving Allen began around 5:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Allen was detained by police and questioned. No details have been released regarding the incident in question.

Former state Treasurer Rob McCord is expected to appear in a Harrisburg federal courtroom today. McCord resigned last month, and announced he would plead guilty to charges related to soliciting campaign donations. In late January, McCord â€“ in a video statement released by his lawyers â€“ admitted warning two potential donors to his Democratic primary campaign for governor that they didnâ€™t want to make an enemy of him. McCord allegedly attempted to extort campaign contributions from a law firm and a property management company. The maximum penalty for each of the two counts is 20 years in prison.

Police in Delaware are searching for a man they say tied up a 91-year-old woman during a home invasion robbery. The suspect has been identified by police as 26-year-old Dustin Niebert of Ellendale, Delaware. The incident happened at about 3 a.m. Monday at a home in the 6000 block of Melody Lane in Milford. Niebert tied up the victim and then took cash and jewelry, stole the victimâ€™s car, and later abandoned it a short distance away. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for apparent non-life-threatening injuries. Niebert remains on the loose and is wanted by Delaware State Police for Robbery, Home Invasion, Assault, two counts of Theft, where the victim is over the age of 62, and Unlawful Imprisonment.
