Anthony Flick Out of Hospital; No Charges for Social Media Threat; Home Beer Delivery in PA

A Montgomery County teenager is now out of the hospital following last week's killing spree that 6 members of his family dead. 17-year-old Anthony Flick was released Monday, one week after the attack in which he suffered shopping wounds to his head and hands. His parents and sister were killed in the shooting/stabbing attack by Bradley Jones along with his grandmother and great-grandmother and Stone's ex-wife Nicole Hill, Flick's aunt. Flick was found in a third floor bedroom in the Flick home in Souderton on the morning of December 15th and flown to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Stone was found dead in the woods near his home in Pennsburg of a suicide by drug overdose. Friends and family have raised over $28,000 for Anthony's medical bills and more.

A Bucks County guidance counselor will not face charges after posting a threatening social media message before the Philadelphia Eagles' game on Sunday December 7th. 37-year-old MaryKate Blankenburg, a guidance counselor at Central Bucks West High School, posted a message to Facebook prior to the Eagles home game directed at the planned protest scheduled immediately following the game where organizers would 'die-in' the intersection of Broad and Pattison. She said, "If my child cannot get to the Eagles game due to protesters, I will personally SHOOT everyone one of them. You've been warned idiots." Blakenburg lives in Lower Gwynedd Township in Montgomery County. The DA said â€œwhile the posting was inappropriate and ill-advised, it was not made with the level of intent necessary to make the posting criminal in nature." They said that Blakenburg was cooperative with the investigation and acknowledged that it was inappropriate. Also, neither her or anyone in her household owns a gun. She has been on paid administrative leave during the investigation.

This month the PLCB (Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board) issued an advisory opinion clarifying the existing â€˜transporter-for-hireâ€™ license. Now restaurants, grocery stores, pizza and hoagie shops that serve food and beer can also deliver up to 192 ounces or about two six-packs of beer. Establishments that have a license to sell six-packs of beer can apply for the $1,000 license and start delivery that beer to customer's doors. Customers will have to pay for their order over the phone with a credit card as the transaction has to happen at the establishment and not with cash at the doorstep with the delivery driver. Drivers will also have to check the ID of the customer when the beer is delivered to avoid delivering to minors. Next time you order a pizza you may also be able to order a six pack of lager to go with it.
