McDonald's Attack Mother and Son; Miss Delaware Too Old; Neighbor Charged in Hoarder Stabbings

Witnesses recorded and posted video of a violent attack against a mother by a McDonald's employee in Salem City, NJ on Tuesday. The video shows the mother on the ground receiving multiple punches to the face and chest. Her 2-year-old son was standing next to her, kicking the assailant in an attempt to get her to stop. Several people were standing around watching and did nothing to intervene. The suspect, wearing a red uniform, was identified as 25-year-old Latia Harris. She believed the woman had spread rumors of a romantic relationship between her and her work supervisor. Harris has not yet been arrested but is charged with two counts each of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.

The recently crowned Miss Delaware will be stripped of her crown because of her age. 24-year-old Amanda Longacre was crowned June 14th. She'll turn 25 on October 22 of this year. The Miss America pageant rules require contestants to be between the ages of 17 and 24. You have to be 24 through the end of the year, meaning she'll be just too old. Longacre did nothing wrongly, accurately reporting her birthday on applications, it was discovered when sent to Miss America. She'll also have to give up the $9,000 scholarship. Runner-up Brittany Lewis will be awarded the crown Thursday night.

An 18-year-old neighbor has been charged in the double stabbing inside a hoarder's home filled with cats and other debris in Olney. Anthony Waters is charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, Aggravated and Simple Assault; Robbery, Burglary, Theft and related charges. Police were called to 5900 block of North 4th Street. They found a 71-year-old woman stabbed 15-20 times outside on the porch. A 54-year-old man was inside suffering from stab wounds to his abdomen. They have been longtime roommates and were rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. Waters was on the scene with a hose spraying the woman and hosing the blood. Police determined that he had entered into the home with the intention of taking keys to steal the car, but stabbed them when he found them both home.
