Man Gives Alcohol to Sweet 16 Party; Mother Tries to Kill 3 Children; Goldwire Wanted for Shooting

A Montgomery County man is facing charges for furnishing alcohol to teenagers at a party hosted for his daughter. Arthur Blumenthal held a large Sweet 16 party for his daughter at their home on Woodruff Road in Whitemarsh Township on March 21st. Police were called to the residence because one party goer was found on the front lawn passed out and vomiting. He had to be taken to the hospital. When police searched the house they found around 60 teens partying in the basement with numerous empty beer cans and cases in the garage. Blumenthal allegedly charged teens $5 to drink and warned them to stay inside or the cops might be called. He faces numerous charges including reckless endangerment and corruption of minors.

According the the Burlington County Prosecutor and Florence Township Police, a mother has been charged with attempting to kill her three children by driving their car into the Delaware River Tuesday night. It happened around 6:30pm on West Front Street in Mount Holly. 49-year-old Joann Smith drove her van containing her 13, 14, and 15-year-olds onto a boat ramp and into the river. Investigators determined she accelerated into the water. Smith is charged with three counts of attempted murder and three counts of endangering the welfare of children. She is at a medical facility for evaluation. Bail is set at $600,000.

Philadelphia police are looking for the mother of an 11-year-old girl who was accidentally shot and killed by her 2-year-old brother. 31-year-old Tiffany Goldwire is wanted for involuntary manslaughter in the death of her daughter. It happened on April 5th on the 3800 block of Wallace Street. Goldwire was not in the room at the time. Somehow the toddler got a hold of a loaded gun and shot his sister, Jamara Stevens. She was rushed to CHOP but eventually died. Goldwire is described as a black woman, 5'6" tall and weighing 200 pounds. (see photo below)
