Jose Rene Cruz Sentenced, Indiana Store Exposure, THON Raises $13.34 Million

A north Jersey man convicted in the repeated sexual assaults of a young girl has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Jose Rene Cruz of Irvington must serve nearly 13 years before he becomes eligible for parole. He also will have to register as a sex offender and is barred from having any contact with the girl. Cruz was arrested in March 2012 and was convicted last August.

Police are searching for a man who exposed himself to two women inside a grocery store. Authorities say the man followed the women at about 3 p.m. Friday inside the grocery store in Indiana, PA. The suspect was described as being in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds, long black hair with a mullet cut and a mustache.

Penn Stateâ€™s annual 46-hour no-sitting-or-sleeping dance marathon ended Sunday afternoon and raised a record $13.34 million for pediatric cancer research and to provide support for patients and their families. A jam-packed arena of students, pediatric cancer patients, survivors and their families welcomed the announcement of the record for the annual THON fundraiser, which broke last yearâ€™s record of $12.37 million.
