PECO Line Repair Priority, Horsham Carbon Monoxide Incident, Atlantic County Bomb Threat Arrest

If you're home is without power it depends on which power line is damaged that counts. Meaning if the power to your home is out because there's damage to a major transmission line that services thousands, that is actually a good thing according to PECO. Your home by default will be a priority. That’s why the more than 700,000 PECO customers who first lost power was quickly reduced to about 350,000 customers without power in the first 24 hours. As crews continue to work the less efficient they become at restoring power to large chunks of the population at one time. PECO indicates most customers should have their power restored Friday, but that everyone won’t have their power back until Sunday.

Officials say four people, including a child, are hospitalized after a carbon monoxide incident in Montgomery County Thursday night in the unit block of Loggers Mill Road in Horsham. Three victims were taken to Abington Memorial Hospital. Another person was being flown by medevac to another area hospital. Earlier Thursday, Chester County Emergency Management said they had 25 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning. Most of the cases involved gas grills or gas powered generators being used to heat homes.

Authorities say a Vineland man is facing charges in connection with multiple bomb threats placed in Atlantic County on Tuesday. Raheem Brown, 36, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of Terroristic Threats and Causing False Public Alarm. Hamilton Township Police say the threats began around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and were placed in different locations in Atlantic County prompting the evacuation of two elementary schools.
