Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced that charges will be dropped against former Philadelphia priest Robert Brennan. 26-year-old Sean McIlmail had brought the charges against Brennan, however, he died unexpectedly last week of a drug overdose. McIlmail, a former alter boy, accused Brennan of sexual assault and rape over a period of 3 years starting when he was 11. Before announcing his decision to withdraw the charges, Williams expressed his respect and gratitude towards McIlmail for his bravery in bringing this case forward noting his courage should be an inspiration. The charges will officially be withdrawn at Brennan's next court date on November 14th. Brennan is currently out on bail and living in Maryland.

A guard hired to look after the cars of Philadelphia Eagles' players during home and away games used one player's bank account information to steal more than $225,000. Federal officials have arrested 37-year-old Robert Von Ryan of Philadelphia and charged him with bank fraud. U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger said Von Ryan entered into offensive lineman Todd Herremans' vehicle and copied his checking account number and checking account routing number. He then used those numbers to transfer $225,034.52 into his own accounts over a period from 2009 to 2012. An Eagle's spokesperson said that Von Ryan worked for a subcontractor that is not longer used by the team. Herremans' was reimbursed by his insurance company. If convicted, Von Ryan faces a maximum possible sentence of 30 years imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, five years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment.

Two Philadelphia officers are now facing federal charges stemming from a 2009 incident where a woman was forced to strip naked and watch as one officer pleasured himself in front of her. Former Police Officer Joseph Harvey and Officer Sean Cahill, both of Philadelphia, were arrested on Wednesday. The incident happened October 8, 2009 during a drug raid. Harvey made a woman undress and watch him as he masturbated. Cahill lied to investigators and told them he was with Harvey the entire time. Harvey's initial trial ended in a mistrial. He is now charged with deprivation of civil rights under color of law. Cahill is charged with making a material false statement.
