Fire crews have been battling a fire at the Dietz & Watson warehouse In South Jersey all afternoon and evening. The crews responded to the call at 1:45 pm to the 1000 block of Coopertown Road in Delanco. More than 200 firefighters from 28 counties have turned out for the blaze. Authorites determined it would be too dangerous to send anyone to the top of the building making the fire more difficult to contain. The roof contains solar panels which are energized. Normally they be able to go on the roof and cut it to stop the spread of the fire. The crews were also working with limited water sources, relying on pumping from the Rancocas Creek a mile away. This 260,000 square foot warehouse served as a cold storage facility and distribution center for Dietz & Watson. The actual meats and cheeses are made in Philadelphia. No one was in the warehouse, and no injuries have been reported.

Two Phillies fans from Chalfont, PA were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing today in Chicago, IL. The two men, both 25-years-old, were in town for the Philadelphia Phillies series against the Cubs. Steven Gudknecht and Kevin Burge, both around 6-foot-3, squeezed through the bars on a window and entered Wrigley Field. Their goal? They wanted a piece of the outfield wall ivy as a souvenir. They were spotted by a security guard and arrested about 4:15 a.m. They were both charged with criminal trespass to property which is a misdemeanor.

A body of a man was found in the Delaware River on Sunday. An official identification has not been released on the man. It is likely the body of a man who went missing on Saturday. A woman in National Park, NJ, called police at 3 pm to tell them that her husband went missing. He had been kayaking on the river and at one point she turned to look at him and the kayak was empty. Another possible identification could be the missing tuber from Tinicum Township, PA on August 10th. Anthony Del Prete, 30, of Herndon, Va., slipped out of his inner tube at the end of a four-hour floating trip and has not been found. There was a report that the body looked like it had been in the water “for a while.” An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
