Former West Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell has agreed to give up all future appeals in his case in exchange for life in prison without parole. Gosnell was found guilty yesterday of first-degree murder of three babies born alive and viable during abortion procedures, involuntary manslaughter of a woman who died of an overdose on anesthesia, as well as over 200 counts of other violations. Philadelphia prosecution agreed to not pursue the death penalty against Gosnell. After the deal was done Judge Jeffrey Minehart immediately sentenced Gosnell to life in prison for two of the three first degree counts. He will face the rest of sentencing tomorrow morning where the family of his victim will be given the opportunity to speak.
Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is being sued by a woman for allegedly assaulting and humiliating her aboard a party bus last December. The incident happened aboard a “party bus†trip from Philadelphia to New York City in December of 2012. The lawsuit states that McCoy invited 15 women aboard the trip. At one point he and other men aboard began to spray the females with water. When the claimiant, “Mary Roe,†objected she was struck and had a beverage poured on her. She was then kicked off the bus and was going to be left on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike. To the pleas of the other women, Roe wasn't left there but instead dropped off at the next rest stop. She is seeking damages of $50,000, and names both McCoy and his bodyguard “Big John.â€
