A Gloucester Township man is being held on charges of charged with two counts each of attempted murder, attempted aggravated arson, and terroristic threats. Paul Dobrzynski doused himself, his mother, and another man inside their home on the 600 block of Marino Avenue. He then blew out the pilot on the oven and allowed the house to fill with natural gas. While holding matches and a lighter he threatened to set them all on fire and kill everyone. The other man was able to escape to a neighbors and call 911. Police found Dobrzynski outside on the front lawn when they responded. He is being held on $600,000 cash bail.

Early Sunday morning in South Philadelphia a 28-year-old motorist was chased down, rear-ended and then shot by a group of men. The victim told police that a white Pontiac began following and chasing him. The car crashed into him at 15th and Webster streets. Three men exited the vehicle and approached the victim's car. One of them fired a shot through the windshield, grazing the man's head. He is in stable condition at Jefferson University Hospital. The suspects drove off but eh car was found later in Point Breeze on Cleveland Street near Wharton. Police are questioning several people but no arrests have been made. They say it may have been an attempted carjacking.

Hundreds of people in Bucks County braved the bitter winds this morning to help raise money for the victims of the shooting in Newtown, CT. Francine Lobis Wheeler's son was the students killed at Sandy Hook Elementary, 6-year-old Benjamin Wheeler. Francine attended Council Rock North High School. Friends and family member's here in our area organized a 5k to raise money in Benjamin's honor and memory, many of whom still live in the Philadelphia region. There were many runner's who never knew the family until the tragedy. The funds will be used to help create a fund in Benjamin Wheeler's name. Francine has not yet decided how the fund will ultimately be used in her son's memory.
