Rihanna Donates $1.75 M to Hospital; Reid/Eagles Lose Home Finale; Navy SEAL Cdr. Suicide

Rihanna has donated $1.75 million to a hospital in her homeland of Barbados in the Caribbean. The donation will be used to buy three pieces of medical equipment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown. At a ceremony on Saturday at the hospital, Rihanna stated that this was her way of â€œgiving back to Barbados.â€ The hospital's radiotherapy unit will be named the Clara Braithwaite Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine after Rihanna's grandmother who passed away this past June.

Eagles lose home finale 27-20 to the Redskins, coming up short again. This could possibly Andy Reid's last game as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The fans let Reid have it as he walked off the field showering him with some boos and jeers, plus a few cheers and chants. Reid has been here long enough to appreciate the Philly fans' frankness when it comes showing what they think. He said, â€œWhen you stink they let you know you stink, when you are good they let you know you are good.â€ If this was the last time Reid coaches in South Philly, he will leave as the longest tenured coach in the NFL and the most successful Eagles' coach ever. It is up to owner Jeffery Lurie to make some tough decisions on his club's future, and also decide just who would replace Andy if he were to go.

U.S. Military officials are investigating the death of a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan, most probably the result of suicide. Navy SEAL Cdr. Job W. Price, 42, of Pottstown, PA, died on Saturday of a non-combat related injury while supporting stability operations in Uruzgan Province. He was the Commanding Officer of SEAL Team 4 based out of Virginia Beach, VA, which was on a mission training local Afghan police forces to stave off the Taliban in remote areas of Afghanistan. The death appeared to be a suicide, but the investigation is still underway. Price failed to show up for a scheduled event on Saturday and his colleagues found him dead in his quarters. "As we mourn the loss and honor the memory of our fallen teammate, those he served with will continue to carry out the mission," said Capt. Robert Smith, Commander of Naval Special Warfare Group Two, which manages all Virginia-based Navy SEAL teams. The Commander had been a Naval officer since 1993. Price is survived by a wife and a daughter.
