Miss PA to pay Miss USA $5 M; Missing Bensalem Michaud Found; Maid Plead Guilty Franklin Bust Theft

The former Miss Pennsylvania who claimed that the Miss USA contest was rigged has been ordered to pay the pageant $5 million for defamation. The arbitrator determined that Sheena Monninâ€™s comments were false, harmful and malicious. The arbitrator added that there was no reasonable possibility the judging was rigged. It was more likely that Monnin was disgruntled that she did not make it past the preliminary rounds and objected to the pageant's decision to allow transgender participants. She voiced her allegations on Facebook and the â€œTodayâ€ show causing loss of sponsorships for the Miss USA pageant, which is owned by Donald Trump.

Police say they have found a Bensalem woman with disabilities that was reported missing. Kathleen Michaud, of Clinton Avenue, was last seen at 1053 Clinton Ave in Bensalem on Dec. 17, 2012 around 3:30 p.m. Michaud is legally disabled and has several physical and mental ailments.

The housekeeper who stolen a $3 million bust of Benjamin Franklin has plead guilty. Andrea Lawton, 46, of Mobile, Ala. agreed to plead guilty to interstate transportation of stolen property. Lawton was briefly employed as a house cleaner in the Bryn Mawr home of a private historic artifact collector. The portrait bust dates to 1778 and was made when Franklin was visiting Paris. She first took the bust to Alabama, but was arrested in September in Elkton, MD when she got off a bus, carrying the bust in a gunny sack. She planned to sell it for $500,000. Sentencing is in March here Lawton could get up to 10 years in prison and pay up to $500,000 in fines.
