Police are searching for a missing 10-year-old girl from Bethlehem, PA. Jerkera Battle was last seen last on Saturday, after leaving her home on 432 Carlton Avenue. Battle is described as a black female, standing 4-foot-5, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and jeans. She has been known to frequent the Yosko Park Area, but officers have canvassed the area and are unable to find her. If you have any information call Bethlehem Police at 610-685-7187.

New Jersey has become only the 4th state to enact a permanent ban on synthetic marijuana. The permanent ban was enacted on November 19 after a public hearing, public comment period and publication in the current edition of the New Jersey register. A temporary ban was in place since February on the man-made drug, also known by it's brand names “K2” and “Spice.” The manufacture, distribution, sale and possession of all the possible variants of synthetic marijuana is now a third-degree crime. Punishment for violating the ban includes fines up to $25,000 and prison terms of three to five years. NJ put these previously “legal highs” on par with heroin and cocaine. The message is that synthetics are just as dangerous with side effects such as seizures, hallucinations, panic attacks, and suicide, and now they are just as illegal.
