It's Election Day, finally! Time to get out and vote right? But where are you supposed to go? Your local polling place might not be so easy to find. You just can't go to any polling place, you must go to the one you are registered. You also have to be registered in order to vote. The deadlines for registration were weeks ago, so if haven't registered yet then you are out of luck.

New Jersey has had to change some of it's normal Election Day operations. In order to learn your polling location New Jersey residents can text 877877 with their address on Tuesday or log onto www.elections.nj.gov. Polling locations without power or have been destroyed will have military trucks outside where voters can cast paper ballots.

Residents in hard hit areas that cannot get to a polling place can email or fax a vote-by-mail application by 5 pm today (nj.gov/state/elections/voting-information-vote-by-mail). Once that application is processed a ballot will be e-mailed or faxed back to them that they must completed and send back by 8pm on Friday. Instructions for e-mail balloting: http://nj.gov/state/elections/2012-results/directive-email-voting.pdf

In Pennsylvania you can visit www.votespa.com or www.pavoterservices.state.pa.us/ to check on your registration and find your polling location.

The photo ID portion of Voter ID law in Pennsylvania is under a temporary injunction for the general election. It will be handled exactly as the primary elections were, as a test rollout. You will be asked to show an acceptable photo ID by the poll workers. It is NOT required that you have an ID in order to vote.

If you live in Delaware, visit http://www.delaware.gov/topics/voter_resources for the first state's online voter resources.
