The Pennsylvania Department of State and PennDOT have both declared that they have met the standards of the Voter ID law providing “liberal access” to obtaining one. They claim to have streamlined the process of procuring proper identification. You need to go to a PennDOT center and give your name, date of birth, Social Security number and address. If you are a confirmed registered voter you will be issued a photo Voter ID. The Commonwealth Court has until Oct. 2nd to review how the new ID's are being issued. If there will be any disenfranchisement, then the Supreme Court says they must issue an injunction.

A man in Gloucester Township, NJ is wanted today after stealing over $27,000 worth of jewelry from the Kmart on Blackwood Clementon Road this morning around 11 am. The bandit was caught on camera walking into the store pushing a cart. He walked right up to the jewelry counter, cut the security cable on a spinning earring display, and loaded it in the cart. He then walked right out of the store. Police are looking for a black man who was wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren bucket hat, sunglasses and dark shirt and jeans. If you have any information contact the Anonymous Crime Tip Line at 856-842-5560.

A judge in El Paso, TX has ordered DNA testing on the Philadelphia man who claims to be the late Sherman Hemsley's brother. “The Jeffersons” star remains in refridgeration at an El Paso funeral home amid a dispute over his will. Hemsley's current will names his longtime manager Flora Enchinton as executor and sole beneficiary. Richard Thornton of Philadelphia claims that the will was changed only a few weeks before Hemsley's death. He wants to bury his brother and have services with family in Philadelphia. Enchinton claims that Hemsley never mentioned any family in their 20 years together. The trial will begin October 31st.
