Plymouth Township Police Officer Killed, Camden County Police Search For Robber Dressed As Woman

A Plymouth Township police officer was shot and killed Thursday evening responding to a hit and run crash in Montgomery County.
K-9 Officer Brad Fox was pursuing a hit and run suspect which led to a violent confrontation between the two. The officer was shot in the head. Officer Fox's K-9, Nick, was also shot but survived and is fine.

The suspect was killed, but authorities would not disclose how he died or the circumstances that led to Thursdayâ€™s violence.
Officer Fox is the only Plymouth Township officer killed in the line of duty, according to Ferman. "There are just no words to express the magnitude of this tragedy for Officer Foxâ€™s family, for his wife, for his beautiful little girl, his law enforcement family and the Plymouth Police Department and the entire Montgomery County law enforcement family and community," Ferman said. "When I said to you he was a hero, I meant that." Officer Fox served two tours in Iraq as a marine. A seven year veteran of the police force, Officer Fox leaves behind a pregnant wife and a young daughter. He would have turned 35 on Friday.

Police in Camden County are searching for the man who attempted to rob a pharmacy on Wednesday wearing a dress and a wig. The suspect entered Jolinâ€™s Pharmacy and demanded Oxycontin from Dr. John Agyemang, the pharmacist. Agyemang told police he saw what appeared to be a gun in the suspectâ€™s fanny pack. Agyemang ran to the back of the store, grabbed his gun and chased after the suspect, firing several shots outside the store. The suspect fled on a mountain bike; it does not appear he was struck by gunfire. The suspect is described as African-American with a light-colored beard and about 5â€™ 8â€ to 5â€™ 10â€ tall. He was wearing black sneakers, a blue dress and a wig. Anyone with information is asked to contact Winslow Police Detective Tristan Shorter at (609) 561-3300.

A Gold Alert has been issued for a missing man with dementia.
Police are searching for John Dohms who did not return to his home located on the 100 block of East Cleveland Avenue in Newark. Dohms was last seen on Thursday at about 2 p.m. at his home. He is described as a white male, 6â€™1â€³, 165 lbs, with gray hair, blue eyes and is believed to be wearing tan shorts. Police say he is known to go to stores around Pomeroy Trail and Main Street. Anyone with information is asked to call the Newark Police Department at 302-366-7111.
