$88k Reward for Officer's Killers (video); Six Flags to Close Wild Safari; Hollywood Mourning Deaths

An $88,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the murder of Police Officer Moses Walker Jr. On Saturday Aug 18, just before 6am, Officer Walker was walking in the 2000 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue where two males approached him in an attempted robbery. He was shot several times and the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.

After 38 years, Six Flags Great Adventure will close Wild Safari, it's drive-thru animal sanctuary, to public traffic. Since 1974 more than 10 million visitors were able to take their own cars through the park and see wild animals up close and personal, faces pressed against the glass of their vehicles. About 1,200 giraffes, lions, bears, zebras, baboons, rhinoceros, and elephants wander the 350 acre preserve and will remain in at Six Flags. The park will close a month early on September 30th. More information will be released at the end of August.

Two notable passings in Hollywood today. Phyllis Diller, the trailblazing and outlandish comedian, led the way for so many females in comedy. Known for her eccentric style and costume along with her self-deprecating wit she was a master stand up comic for decades. She was 95. On a tragic note, Director/Producer Tony Scott was found after jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles. He is responsible for many blockbuster films such as â€œTop Gun,â€ â€œDays of Thunder,â€ â€œEnemy of the State,â€ and â€œMan on Fire.â€ He also worked in Televison on shows â€œNumb3ersâ€ and â€œThe Good Wife.â€ His brother is director Ridley Scott. Tony was 68.
