Upper Darby police are searching for a young pregnant mother and her boyfriend who have not been seen since last week. 21-year-old Dianna Brice was last seen leaving the K Laundry in Lansdowne with 23-year-old Justin Smith around 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30. In addition to being several months pregnant, Brice also has a 4-year-old son. She also has a medical condition that requires daily medication. When Brice did not return home later that afternoon, her mother, Betty Cellini, called Smith. He told Cellini that the couple had a fight and that Brice stepped out of the car. Around 5:30 p.m that afternoon, Smith's 2018 black Ford Fusion was found on fire near 59th and Florence Street in the Cobb's Creek section of West Philadelphia. There were no signs of Brice or Smith. Upper Darby police say that there has not been any credit card or cell phone activity since last week.
Brice is described as approximately 4' 11" and weighing 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black short sleeve T-shirt, black sweatpants, and a pair of pink, blue, and yellow Ugg slides. She also has several distinctive tattoos including a small black heart on her right hand, a Mickey Mouse glove with the letters "AJ" on her left forearm, the word "NANNY" on her left shoulder, a rose on her left shoulder and right ankle and the phrase "My Brother's Keeper" on her chest.
Dr. Val Arkoosh, the chairperson of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, announced on Monday, 4/5, that she will be running for U.S. Senate in the state of Pennsylaniva in 2022. Arkoosh joins Lt. Gov. John Fetterman and state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta who are also seeking the Democratic nomination. Current Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey is retiring from the seat after this term, opening up the race on both sides. State Sen. Sharif Street has formed an exploratory committee. Other possible Democrats include U.S. Reps. Conor Lamb and Chrissy Houlahan. On the Republican side, former candidate for lieutenant governor Jeff Bartos and attorney Sean Gale are running. Sean's older brother, Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Gale, is running for PA governor.
The Philadelphia School District has cleared the final 23 schools for Phase II of the Hybrid Reopening Plan. For Phase II, students in grades 3 through 5 and students with complex needs in grades 6-8 who have selected the hybrid learning model will begin Monday, April 26. All staff supporting grades 3 through 8 will return to school buildings on Monday, April 12th.

Philadelphia has increased the allowable capacity at the Wells Fargo Center from 15% to 20%. That means there can now be 4,000 fans at Sixers and Flyers games, up from 3,100. Fans will also be allowed to sit courtside at Sixers game. Those fans must take a rapid COVID-19 test and get a negative test before entering the building. The capacity at Citizens Bank Park was also increased from 8,800 to 11,000
