Philadelphia Police are investigating after seven people were shot and injured outside of a social club on Friday night, 3/26. It happened around 8 p.m. at the Golf and Social Club on the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue in Fishtown. It started as an altercation inside the club that spilled outside. Surveillance footage shows the gunman firing into a crowd standing out front. The victims range in age from 17 - 42. Four of the victims are in critical condition and the other three are in stable condition. This bar/club features indoor golf simulators, but police say it has caused problems in the past. "This area is not on our radar [for violence], we haven't had issues in this area at this point. But I will say, that social club is problematic. It was shut down at least three times in the past. I know for a fact last year it was shut down," Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Joel Dales said.

An 11-year-old boy was killed and a 14-year-old boy was injured in a shooting on Friday night, 3/26, in Northeast Philadelphia. It happened around 6:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of McKinley Street near Large Street in Oxford Circle. The two boys were riding motorized bikes when they were shot. The 11-year-old was shot once in the neck. He was taken to Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children where he died a short time later. The 14-year-old boy was shot once in the right arm and once in the right ankle. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. No weapon has been recovered. No arrests have been made. "Someone, at some point, for an unknown reason came out on foot and fired shots at the two boys as they were riding up and down the street on this peddle bike. We're doing what we can to interview witnesses to get descriptions and to do what we can to figure out the motive behind this," Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said.

Two Philadelphia Police officers were able to rescue two women from a barricade situation early Saturday morning, 3/27, shortly before the house was set on fire. It happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 2500 block of South 71st Street in Southwest Philadelphia. Police officers responded to a report of a woman being held against her will at gunpoint by her boyfriend. The two 12th District officers were able to get that woman out. They then learned that an elderly woman was still inside. They went back in the home and smelled gas. The officers were able to pull that woman to safety just as the house caught fire. After the fire was extinguished, the body of a man was found dead on the second floor. His cause of death is not yet known.
