Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have been ruled out of tonight's NBA All-Star game. Both players were identified through contact tracing as having close contacts with a barber in Philadelphia who has tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19. The two players have tested negative themselves, but cannot play the game due to NBA protocols. Embiid was voted as a starter and Simmons was selected as a reserve. They would have played on opposite teams. Philadelphia head coach Doc Rivers is going to coach Team Durant.
