Camden Officers' Home Shot Up, Search On; Upper Merion Racial Attack Video; New Video Tow Lot Murder

Authorities in Camden County, New Jersey, are searching for suspects accused of shooting up the home of two police officers earlier this week. It happened around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, 9/15, on the 2900 block of Clinton Street in East Camden. The two Camden County police officers were inside their house along with their 10-day-old newborn. Police recovered video from the scene. They saw a 1998 Honda Odyssey drive by and open fire targeting the house. No one inside was injured. The two officers were already on family and medical leave. Police located the vehicle, but are still searching for the suspects. There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. A man walking through his King of Prussia apartment complex earlier this month became the victim of a racist attack after he asked another man to keep his dog on a leash. It happened on September 5 as Farrukh Abbas Hashmi was walking outside. William Butler's dog was running around and attacked Hashmi twice, prompting him to ask Butler to leash the dog. Butler then began to verbally attack him, cursing, making threats, and calling him ethnic slurs. Butler told him to 'go back to your country.' He then escalated to physical attacks. Hashmi recorded the encounter on his cell phone and called police and the Center for American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Butler has been charged with ethnic intimidation, harassment, disorderly conduct, and a municipal ordinance for keeping dogs confined.

Officials in Upper Merion released a statement: "Upper Merion Township does not tolerate harassment or intimidation in any form, and certainly not that which is racially or ethnically motivated. We strongly condemn any actions like this in our community, as they do not represent Upper Merion Township, and will do everything in our power to prevent this from continuing. We are deeply sorry that the victim in this incident had to endure this physical and verbal harassment while walking in the community."

Philadelphia Police have released new surveillance video in connection with the discovery of a woman in the truck of a car in a tow yard this past summer. The discovery was made on July 21 on the 5000 block of Merion Avenue at the Superior Automotive shop. An employee cleaning up outside smelled an odor and then found the body. It was in the trunk of a silver Dodge Charger with heavy front end damage parked on the lot. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Markeya Green. The medical examiner was not able to determine the cause of death due to the level of decomposition. The new footage shows a tall, large Black male driving into the tow yard in a late model Ford Fusion and gets out. Police say that other surveillance footage shows that she was killed at that location on July 18 and put in the truck of the car. There is a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. If you have any information call police.
