Philadelphia Police have charged two more men in connection to the shooting death of a Philadelphia police officer who was serving an arrest warrant in Frankford last month. 18-year-old Khalif Sears and 19-year-old Bilal Mitchell are charged with murder, seven counts of attempted murder, and conspiracy in the killing of 46-year-old Sgt. James O'Connor IV. SWAT was at the property on the 1600 block of Bridge Street on March 13 to serve an arrest warrant for 21-year-old murder suspect Hassan Elliott. Officers were met by gunfire through a closed door from a second-floor apartment. O'Connor was stuck and killed. Police say that Elliot is the one that fired the shots that killed O'Connor and was charged last month. Sears and Mitchell were in the room and are being charged using the state's conspiracy act. "The evidence we developed in this case is that Mr. Sears, Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Elliott were part of a street gang and they conducted a lot of illegal activity that supported each other," Anthony Voci, District Attorney Chief of Homicide Unit, said. "The killing of Sgt. O'Connor was an act in furtherance of that conspiracy. It was something that had been discussed and could be foreseen, from that perspective."

Philadelphia Police are looking for the driver of an SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run on Friday night, 4/17, in North Philadelphia that involved another vehicle and a pedestrian. It happened around 10 p.m. on the 1500 block of Willington Street. The driver struck another vehicle and then hit a 21-year-old female pedestrian before driving off. The woman was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition with injuries to her legs and back. The SUV had been carjacked a short time earlier near 17th and Diamond Streets. The driver is described as a black male, 5' 8", wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and tan boots.

A Montgomery County woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death inside their Pottstown apartment on Thursday night, 4/16. 21-year-old Caitlin Celina Mauras has been arrested and charged with first-degree and third-degree murder of Jaylin Thomas. It happened around 10 p.m. on the 300 block of North Charlotte Street. Officers found Thomas suffering from stab wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene. The couple had been arguing about the contents of Thomas' cell phone. Mauras got a knife and began to swing it at Thomas and stabbed him in the neck. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said. "Staying at home together, as we all are now doing, comes with stresses that may trigger domestic violence. The analysis by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau that we released yesterday showed that domestic violence is up 8-9% in the county since the coronavirus crisis began." She is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
