Mother/Daughter Killed 5 Relatives; South Philly Attacker Arrested; Remains Found in Center City

A mother and daughter in Bucks County who are charged with killing 5 of their family members inside their shared apartment claim they had all been talking about suicide and wanted to die. 45-year-old Shana Decree and 19-year-old Dominque Decree face five counts of murder and 1 count of conspiracy each. They are being held without bail. On Monday 2/25 around 4 p.m. a Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services case worker was performing a wellness check at the Robert Morris Apartments on the 200 block of West Bridge Street in Morrisville, PA. When no one answered she got a building manager to opened the door. The apartment was in complete disarray. Officers came and found five deceased bodies in a bedroom. The two others were reportedly 'disoriented' and taken to the hospital. They initially told police that they were all attacked by some men. They later told police how they all wanted to commit suicide. Outside family members believe that they were motivated by some type of religious cult they found online. Police do not have an official motive.

The victims have been identified as Shana's children, 25-year-old Naa'Irah Smith and 13-year-old Damon Decree Jr. both of Morrisville, Shana's sister 42-year-old Jamilla Campbell of Trenton, and her 9-year-old twins Imani and Erika Allen. In an affidavit, Dominique says that Shana killed Smith, Damon, one twin, and Campbell. Campbell killed the other twin. Shana said it was Campbell that killed Smith and Dominique helped with one of the killings. Police are still trying to determine how each of the victims died and when. Shana's 17-year-old son Joshua Campbell was not home at the time and is not a suspect. He was found safe at a friend's house in Willingboro, NJ.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a city worker in connection to a series of sexual assaults in South Philadelphia over the past two months. 37-year-old Safien Williams of Point Breeze has been charged with multiple sexual assaults that happened between December and February. Officials received numerous tips from the public after surveillance photos were released over the weekend. Authorities executed a search warrant on his home on Earp Street. Williams was home at the time and brought into custody. They also recovered a cell phone and clothing believed to be used in the assaults. A bike matching the description of the one used in the crimes was found in an abandoned property two doors down. Williams worked as a laborer for the Streets Department.

Skeletal human remains were found overnight in Center City near the Schuylkill River. They were discovered by a homeless passerby around 1:30 a.m. underneath the Market Street Bridge near 24th Street who then called police. The decomposed body was near the Schuylkill River Trail on the other side of a fence close to the CSX tracks. Authorities could not immediately determine an age or if it is a male or a female. The remains would have had to have been there for a while due to the extent of decay. The medical examiner will have to answer these questions and determine cause of death. Police are trying to figure out if there was foul play involved and identify the person.
