Bus Crashed into Blue Bell Home; Lizards Found in Wilmington Bust; Woman's Body Found in Frankford

A school bus slammed straight through the front of a home in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, this morning. It happened around 7:45 am on the 100 block of Windermere Drive. The bus was carrying nine students from St. Helena Elementary School at the time. They escaped out the back emergency exit. A couple and their 2nd grader were at home. Their three other children had already left for school. No one was injured. Witnesses say that the 58-year-old driver looked disoriented and confused. He told one neighbor, 'I don't remember, I don't remember.' The driver may have suffered some sort of medical problem. He was taken to Abington Hospital. The accident is under investigation.

Police in Delaware went to a Wilmington apartment last Friday to search for a suspect wanted on multiple warrants and discovered numerous large lizards, various drugs, and arrested three people. It happened on March 20th at 8 a.m. at the Heritage Court Apartments. When police arrived, one of the occupants was trying to destroy a large amount of what was suspected to be crack cocaine. They also found marijuana, prescription medications, and paraphernalia. In the basement, police found homemade cages containing 16 Monitor lizards and one Columbia Red-tailed boa constrictor. The lizards were up to 6-feet long. Monitor lizards are illegal to own and can be deadly and extremely dangerous. Kent County SPCA, Del. Department of Natural Resources and representatives of the Brandywine Zoo were all called to assist. On top of that a 3-year-old child lived at the apartment. 25-year-old Jennifer Chadwick, 32-year-old Antonio Graves and 28-year-old Jerimiah Feaster are facing drug and firearms charges as well as endangering the welfare of a child. The lizards were taken to a reptile rescue in New Jersey. The child is in the care of a family member.

A suspect is in custody after the body of a woman was found in a shallow grave in Frankford Tuesday morning. Around 11:30 a.m., Police were called to the 4700 block of Frankford Ave. to investigate. They discovered the â€œJane Doeâ€ buried behind a building next to the Northeast Senior Center. Police attempted to question a man in the vicinity and he tried to run. The suspect struggled with the officers as they tried to take him into custody until they used a Taser to incapacitate him. No charges have been filed yet. Neither the suspect nor the victim have been identified.
