The 3rd annual Philadelphia Science Festival kicks off tonight. The 10-day festival includes over 100 different events throughout the city featuring lectures, debates, hands-on activities, special exhibitions and other informal experiences for people of all ages. Since the days of Benjamin Franklin to the world's first computer Eniac at the University of Pennslyvania, Philadelphia as long been an area of scientific discovery and innovation. The festival gives all Philadelphians an opportunity to discover how science, engineering, and technology are vital in all aspects of the community. This Saturday there will be a huge science carnival on the Ben Franklin Parkway. The Festival runs through April 28th.

Police are investigating after 2 boys were discovered living in a storage unit in Ewing, Mercer County, New Jersey. While Trenton Police were processing a woman this morning on a domestic violence case for violating a restraining order she told officers that she had two children in a storage unit in Ewing. Both Trenton and Ewing police responded to the Extra Storage building on the 1400 block of Prospect Street. They found the two boys between the ages of five and ten years old inside an unlocked unit. They seemed to be healthy but were given a meal and taken to the medical center to be checked out. They are now in the custody of Division of Youth and Family Services. It is not clear how long or why the boys were living there.

Police are looking for a murderer who fatally stabbed a food cart vendor outside his home in South Philadelphia on Thursday morning. 68-year-old Don Ly was preparing his cart for the day at around 4:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Vollmer Street when someone stabbed him multiple times. Police believe he was surprised because there were no signs of defense. Robbery does not seem to be a motive; the killer left Ly's cash, wallet, and jewelry. Investigators will try to find any neighborhood surveillance. Ly immigrated from Vietnam in 1900. For the past decade he has set up his fruit stand on the University of Pennsylvania campus at 34th and Walnut. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS (8477), text a tip to PPDTIP (773847) or through PhillyPolice.com
