Jeb Bush Named Chairman Constitution Center; $50 mil Bucks Powerball; More Charges in Radnor Luring

Jeb Bush has been named the new Chairman of the National Constitution Center. The former Governor of Florida is following in the footsteps of his father George H.W. Bush (although not to the White House) who was the Chairman from 2007-2008. Bill Clinton held the position the last four years. John Ellis “Jeb” Bush will take over on January 13th. Bush currently runs an educational foundation and has been mentioned as a possible candidate to run for President in 2016, though he avoided that topic on Thursday afternoon. The museum located on Independence Mall has struggled of late to find it's identity and recent modern exhibits on Bruce Springsteen, Prohibition, and Princess Diana fell far below attendance and revenue predictions. Bush's dedication to education and civil engagement and discourse should help the Constitution Center deliver on it's mission on promoting the constitutional ideals of the Founding Fathers which stand in bronze in Signers' Hall.

A week after the huge $550 million Powerball jackpot was won, one lucky winner in Bucks county bought a ticket worth $50 million. The ticket was purchased at Levittown News & Tobacco on South Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills. The winning numbers from Wednesday night's drawing were 13-17-19-27-38 and the red Powerball, 12. Whoever has the winning ticket has the option of a $50 million dollar annuity or take the cash option of more than $33 million dollars (less 25% federal withholding of course).

Ashley Hareford, 20, waived his arraignment hearing on Thursday for the corruption of a minor charge. He is currently waiting extradition from Washington, D.C. where he was arrested Tuesday night getting off a bus with missing 13-year-old girl Savanna Marie MacMullett. Police received a tip that the two were seen getting on the bus at 30 Street Station in Philadelphia after she was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon. He is accused of drawing her from her house in Radnor, PA and taking her on the bus trip. The two met on Facebook and communicated frequently, even setting up a so called 'secret' page. Police expect to file more serious charges when he arrives in Delaware County on December 10th. During their investigation they found an 'inappropriate' picture in their communication, though not pornographic. "Anytime you have a 20-year-old pursuing a 13-year-old on the Internet, that individual is a predator, period, end of story," said Radnor Police Chief Bill Colarulo.
