City Council Workers charged w/ DUI; Trenton Mayor Tony Mack Arrested; Blogger Joshua Albert Charged

The Philadelphia District Attorney's office has charged blogger Joshua Scott Albert with three counts each of criminal solicitation to commit murder, terroristic threats and harassment. Each count is for a Facebook page he created that either called for the murder of a top law enforcement official or supported alleged cop killers. He created two pages that called for the murder of DA Seth Williams and Police Union president John McNesby. The third page garnered the most attention and was called "I Support Chancier McFarland & Rafael Jones.â€ They are the two charged for the murder of off duty Officer Moses Walker Jr. on August 18th. Joshua Albert was known before as the creator of the StaphMeal blog, an insider and irreverent look at the restaurant business in Philadelphia. He just found out how far he can push his 1st ammendment rights.

Trenton's Mayor Tony Mack, his brother Ralphiel, and convicted sex offender Joseph Giorgianni, who owns a sandwich shop, were arrested early today. They were under an ongoing investigation by the FBI for corruption and bribery since the Fall of 2010. The scheme involved $100,000 in bribes for a parking garage project that didn't actually exist, set up by informants.

Two City Council workers have been fired after being involved in a DUI incident over the weekend while driving city owned vehicles. Robin Jones, an aide to City Council President Darrell Clarke, struck a wall at 13th and Hamilton early Saturday morning. She called sergeant-at-arms Rodney Williams for help. Both were driving city vehicles and both were determined to be under the influence by police at the scene. Jones also was charged with a suspended license. There are 3 â€œpoolâ€ vehicles available to the Council and Jones and Williams were in charge of keeping track of them, but neither had permission to use them over the weekend. Clarke says that policies will be changed.
