The Philadelphia School District will be installing free condom dispensers in 22 high schools over winter break as a pilot program. (see list of schools) The dispensers are being placed in the schools that have the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases and will be available to all students, except those whose parents signed an opt-out form. A three alarm blaze in Millville, NJ engulfed the In His Presence Worship Center on East Broad Street in Cumberland County. Firefighters were called to the scene shortly before noon. The steeple collapsed down into the sanctuary as the roof went up in flames. It took nearly 3 hours for the six fires crews to get the fire under control. A man went on a shooting spree today in Central Pennsylvania near Hollidaysburg, killing 3 people before being shot himself in a shootout with police. It started around 9:30 am when he shot a woman at a church while decorating for a children's Christmas party in Frankstown Township. Three Pennsylvania State Troopers were injured and four people are dead after a chase that extended over several miles in Hollidaysburg, about 70 miles west of Harrisburg. A gunman apparently killed three people and injured three troopers in pursuit. The gunman was also killed during the incident. One trooper escaped serious injury when a bullet was stopped by his bullet-proof vest.

Council Rock High School South in Northampton Township Bucks County is closed today due to a threat by a student. The school district confirmed it received information Thursday about the threat. A student has been arrested and the school will be closed today to allow police to conduct a sweep of the building.

A high school in eastern Pennsylvania will be closed Friday after officials received a bomb threat. Emmaus High School made the announcement in an automated call to parents on Thursday. Philadelphia Police have released a photo of the man believed to have robbed a priest (see below). Yesterday afternoon an Episcopalian priest was attacked and sprayed with some type of chemical while waiting for a bus around 11th and Walnut. The thief stole a money clip from the priest, which had $125 in it. The priest was taken to Jefferson Hospital. Anyone with info, please call police at 215-686-TIPS (8744).

Meek Mill aka Robert Williams recently was ordered to stay in Philadelphia for at least a month per restrictions of his probation stemming from a drug and gun conviction in 2008. (see: Meek Mill Not Allowed to Tour, Cancels Africa Trip, Must Stay in Philadelphia) However this setback hasn't dampened his holiday spirits. Meek Mill will return to his alma mater, Strawberry Mansion High School, tomorrow to donate $10,000 for books as well as Puma basketball sneakers.
