The clergy sex abuse trial begins today in the case of a priest and lay teacher at St Jerome's Parish in Northeast Philadelphia. Both men are charged with assaulting the same boy who was a 5th and 6th grader in 1999. Father Charles Englehardt, now 66 years old and the teacher, Bernard Shero deny all allegations in this case.

One person was found dead after emergency crews located the wreckage of a small plane that crashed in Dover, Delaware on Sunday evening. The wreckage is believed to be that of a single engine plane that was reported missing when it vanished off radar shortly after 7 p.m. The pilot, who was the only occupant of the plane, was killed in the crash.

Two women have been arrested for prostitution after a police investigation into two Chinatown massage parlors. Undercover Vice officers conducted the sting at the two establishments located at 209 N 11th Street and 1010 Cherry Street. Shun Yu Jin, 48, of Flushing, NY, and Ji Young Kim, 30, of Philadelphia were both arrested and charged with criminal solicitation and prostitution. The flu outbreak is now considered widespread in Pennsylvania with 22 deaths related to the flu this season. The death of a baby in the Lehigh Valley was blamed on the virus. The New Jersey Department of Health says 2 more deaths are being blamed on the flu outbreak. An 8 month old boy from Camden and a 14 year old boy from Ocean County have died.

A Haddon Township man and known member of the anti-government extremist group, the Sovereign Citizen Movement, has been arrested for the illegal possession of numerous firearms. Gregory Gawrysiak was arrested on Thursday morning at his home on Emerald Avenue on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of an Assault Firearm, and Possession of a Defaced Firearm. Jerry Sandusky was back in court today appealing his child molestation conviction. His attorneys asked for a new trial because they were not given enough time to prepare a proper defense. They also argued hearsay evidence was improperly admitted and that Judge John Cleland should have instructed jurors on the length of time witnesses took to come forward. Cleland did not how long he would take to rule on the appeal.

Four men have been charged with stealing homes in Philadelphia. One of the men, Steven Johnson is the son of former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson. The four men ran a house stealing scheme that involved more than 20 properties. Allegedly, they forged records and notaries transferring properties into their names and then selling them to unsuspecting buyers.

An intellectually disabled Philadelphia man pleaded guilty today in the death of a 20 month old baby boy back in 2010. The Logan man rubbed Drano on the baby’s skin while giving him a bath. 36 year old Aaron Pace was babysitting for family friends and the baby boy was fussing in the bathtub. The burned baby suffered for 5 days before he died. The third degree murder plea may mean 35 years in prison. Pace's IQ, according to his attorney, is between 57 and 63.

Philadelphia Police questioned Brooklyn Nets forward Andray Blatche in connection with an alleged sexual assault that occurred yesterday in the Four Seasons hotel. Preliminary findings of the investigation indicate Blatche was not involved, so he was released with no charges filed. Last night, Blatche tweeted he did not do anything, he "jus was in the area when it happened."
