Setback for Andrew Bynum, William Hite Walks the Walk, Police Academy Adds 22 to Philadelphia Force |

Now it appears we won't see Andrew Bynum in any live game action for the 76ers any time soon. Another setback for the Sixers big off-season acquisition. Bynum played in a 5 on 5 scrimmage in practice last week and today there is word that his injured knee is still swollen from the workout. Today after practice Bynum said he is not sure if he will be able to play at all since the season is getting so late.

A shooting after a rap concert at the TLA last night left one man dead and one hospitalized. Rapper, French Montana left the TLA in his tour bus after the show and headed for the Holiday Inn Express on Columbus Blvd near Race Street. At the hotel, a crowd formed around the bus when a car drove by firing shots into the crowd. A Philadelphia police officer witnessed a shooting in the Grays Ferry section last night at 10:15 p.m. around 27th and Tasker Streets. The gunman then got in a car and left the scene. Handguns were discarded during the pursuit and recovered by police. The officer chased the gunman to 24th and Locust Streets where he shot the suspect in the arm. Their injuries are said to be non-life threatening. Officers found bags of heroin and marijuana next to the car.

An alleged drug dealer who taunted law enforcement on social media to catch him, calling himself the "gingerbread man" (like the nursery rhyme), has been arrested. Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman says that 21-year-old Mark William Gross was taken into custody on February 25th.
