It's a beautiful day for the start of the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta. Boat House Row activities are underway beginning two days of rowing events on the Schuylkill River with 128 colleges participating. This is the 75th anniversary of the Dad Vail in Philadelphia. Road closures on Kelly Drive will be in effect today and tomorrow for the event.

Police say a Dover man, Takoi A. Morris, was charged with his 6th DUI offense on Thursday.
The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. at South DuPont Highway (US13) and South State Street in Dover. Morris was arrested and charged with his 6th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, No Proof of Insurance, and Driving While Using an Electronic Communication Device. He was arraigned and ordered held on $11,000 secured bail.

The body of missing 22-year-old Paige Aiello has been found under the George Washington Bridge. The senior communications major and tennis captain at The College of New Jersey went missing from her parent's home on April 9th in Hillsborough, NJ.

A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run accident in Montgomery County on Wednesday night. The incident happened on Norris City Avenue and Stanbridge Street in East Norriton. Officials say a male was struck by a vehicle that left the scene. There is no word on the victim's condition.

A young child was injured in the Cedarbrook section of Philadelphia when a large television fell on him. Police were called to the 1100 block of East Sydney Street in Cedarbrook at around 4pm. A 40 inch tube-style TV had toppled over and fell on a 2-year-old boy. He suffered head injuries and was in critical condition. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Phillies right-hander pitcher Roy Halladay has a bone spur in his right shoulder that will require minor surgery to clean up. A tractor trailer carrying shortening crashed on the Schuylkill Expressway last night dumping its load of cooking lard on the road. The slippery, greasy mess closed Route 76 westbound lanes between 30th Street and 676. Road crews dumped sand on the lard, but mixed with the morning rain, conditions were treacherous and difficult to clean up.
