The Appel Farm Arts and Music Festival will take place on Saturday, June 1st from 11:30 am-8:00 pm in Elmer, NJ. The proceeds for the festival all go to the Appel Farm’s summer arts camp scholarship program and community arts outreach residencies in different public schools through out the area.

The death over the weekend of the girlfriend of Philadelphia defense attorney, Charles Peruto is still being investigated however police have reported they did not observe any signs of trauma or injury. Julia Law was found floating face down in a bathtub in Peruto’s condo at 20th and Delancey. Julia Law, also an employee of Peruto would have turned 27 today.

Fire officials say a two-year-old boy was seriously injured in a barbecue grill fire in New Castle, Delaware on Memorial Day on the 200 block of East Hazeldell Avenue in Minquadale. The fire began when a person used gasoline to start a barbeque grill. The gasoline vapors erupted into flames, burning the young boy who was nearby the grill.

The largest kite festival in North America comes to Wildwood, NJ on the beach at Rio Grande Avenue. The event also takes place inside the Wildwoods Convention Center that features kite creators from all over the world. The faith healing couple charged with murder in the death of their 7-month-old son have been ordered held without bail. Herbert and Catherine Schaible have been charged with third degree murder after their son died of dehydration and pneumonia. The Schaible's do not believe in modern medicine, only the power of prayer. A portion of a busy bridge in Mount Vernon, Washington collapsed Thursday evening dumping several vehicles into the river below. The collapse happened on the Interstate 5 bridge over the Skagit River, north of Seattle. Three people were pulled from the water and taken to the hospital and authorities are still searching the waters below. So far, no word of fatalities.
