A freshly installed road sign has many people looking twice out in Lancaster County. The new sign is along Rt. 222 between Reading and Ephrata. It is supposed to read “322 Ephrata Exit 2 Milesâ€. Instead the R and A are reversed in the middle of the name. The newly misspelled town name reads E-P-H-A-R-T-A. Which phonetically sounds a bit like flatulence. A half-million dollars in jewelry was stolen from a store in the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Last night at about 8:45 3 robbers executed a smash and grab then took off in a dark colored vehicle. The three men may have had a fourth accomplice as a driver. Atlantic City Police are welcoming any information.

A former Philadelphia Congressman and Preacher loved and respected by many around the world has died. Bill Gray passed from natural causes at the age of 71. Gray was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 23 years, serving from 1978 to 1991. A 13-year-old boy is missing and another rescued after going into the Pennypack Creek in Northeast Philadelphia this afternoon. It happened near Winchester and the Roosevelt Boulevard. A group of four boys were playing near the creek, which is running fast due to record rainfall. Two of the boys were able to get out on their own, but an 11-year-old needed to be rescued. His 13-year-old brother never surfaced. Authorities are now treating this as a recovery more than a rescue. Read More |

Just before the midnight deadline, Governor Corbett and state lawmakers agreed to throw a lifeline to the Philadelphia School District with a $140 million bailout package. $30 million will come from tax collections, $45 million will come from funds that would have been paid back to the federal government, and $16 million is part of the new state budget. Schools are still well short of what they need to fill the $300 million deficit.
