A man is hospitalized after a shooting at a hotel in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. It happened shortly after 7 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in the 4100 block of Island Avenue. A 34-year-old man was shot in the face in a fourth floor hallway. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical but stable condition. Clay Aiken, the former American Idol finalist, has suspended his campaign for Congress because his opponent died suddenly at his home. Keith Crisco was 71 years old and in a very close race with Aiken in a North Carolina democratic primary. Aiken's lead was about 400 votes. Crisco apparently fell at home in Asheboro.

Wildwood Commissioner Pete Byron says the city commission has voted to make part of the oceanfront dog-friendly year round.
