A Delaware police officer was found unconscious and is now in the hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted at the scene of a reported fight. Delmar police officer Cpl. Keith Heacook responded to a report of a fight around 5 a.m. on the 11000 block of Buckingham Drive in the Yorkshire Estates Community. An extremely rare, extremely expensive supercar went up in flames while filling up on gas at a Montgomery County Wawa on Saturday, 4/24. It happened around 2 p.m. at the convenience store on the 500 block on Dekalb Pike in Montgomeryville. Firefighters from the Upper Gwynedd Fire Department arrived to find the luxury vehicle engulfed in flames next to a fuel pump. A bicyclist was struck and killed on Sunday morning, 4/25, while riding in the Art Museum area. It happened around 11 a.m. The woman on the bike was trying to cross from the bike lane on Spring Garden Street to Kelly Drive when her back tire was hit by a black BMW. The 74-year-old woman was thrown from her bike and onto the windshield. She was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The man who triggered an Amber Alert last week when he disappeared with his 3-year-old son is now charged in the murders of the boy's mother and grandmother. 28-year-old Byron McDonald has been charged with murder and related charges in the deaths of 50-year-old Tamara Aikens and 25-year-old Morgan Braxton. Philadelphia City Council approved a bill on Thursday, 4/22, that would prohibit many Philadelphia employers from testing new hires for marijuana as a requirement of employment. There are a few exceptions for certain jobs including: law enforcement, commercial drivers, and many health care workers. Two people were killed when tractor trailer carrying a load of watermelons crashed into a bridge on Thursday night, 4/22. It happened around 9:22 p.m. in the northbound lanes along the New Jersey Turnpike near the Robbinsville Exit 7A in Mercer County. The truck collided head on with a support beam of the overpass bridge. Its load of watermelons spilled across the road. New Jersey State Police called it a "serious" crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Authorities believe that the human remains found on Wednesday, 4/21, are those of missing Amish teenager Linda Stoltzfoos. Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams said that the coroner had not yet made a positive forensic identification at a press conference on Thursday, 4/22. The body was buried with a dress, bonnet, and shoes similar to how Stoltzfoos was dressed when she went missing on June 21, 2020.
