Mt. Airy Stabbing, Selfie Stick Ban, SRC New Charter Schools Vote Today |

Detectives are investigating a double stabbing early Wednesday in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy section. Two people were stabbed at Johnson Street and Stenton Avenue around 3am. One of the victims died — the other is in critical condition at Einstein Medical Center. The suspect is a man last seen wearing a black jacket, a thin build, full beard, and seen fleeing the scene in a Buick LeSabre.

This year's lineup for the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE has been announced and so far Kings of Leon and The Killers will be headliners at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway. DOVER, DE (Feb. 17) - Firefly Music Festival is returning to The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway for the fourth year the weekend of June 18-21. Along with headliners Kings of Leon and The Killers, a third headliner will be revealed at a later date. The 2015 lineup also features Morrissey, Snoop Dogg, Foster the People, Bastille, Modest Mouse, Zedd, Hozier, Empire of the Sun, Kid Cudi and nearly 100 additional acts performing across seven stages.

Snowfall around the Philadelphia area was enough to close schools and make a mess of morning rush hours. This storm moved as predicted dropping 3 to 6 on Philly and up to 9 inches in southern Delaware in New Jersey. Fortunately it’s the lighter, fluffy kind making shoveling easier. The snow is not going to melt this week as temperatures will stay below freezing and another round of snow could happen Saturday.

The Fort Myers Police department released a statement on Monday night regarding Eagles' safety Nate Allen. Allen, a native of Fort Myers, Florida, was detained by police according to the statement. An investigation involving Allen began around 5:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Allen was detained by police and questioned. No details have been released regarding the incident in question.

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile crashed into a pole on Sunday in Central Pennsylvania. The iconic vehicle is one of 6 full size dogs in the Oscar Mayer fleet of promotional vehicles. The 27-foot hot dog in a bun slid off the icy road and hit a utility pole causing extensive front end damage and broken windshield. This all happened in Enola, Cumberland County, near Harrisburg. An explosion rocked a Northwest Philadelphia apartment building overnight after a gas main ruptured in Chestnut Hil. Authorities say there was a blast on the first floor of the two-story building, blowing out the windows. No one was injured, but ten residents were forced from their homes and into the bitter cold for several hours.

A fire breather at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention accidentally set himself on fire during a performance on Sunday afternoon by the Ink Illusionists.
