Police are investigating after they say a man was fatally shot while walking his dog Thursday night in Philadelphia's Overbrook neighborhood. This happened just after 8:30 p.m. on the 6400 block of Woodcrest Avenue. Police say they found the 51-year-old victim unconscious in the street after responding to reports of shots being fired. An Upper Darby mother has been arrested after a carbon monoxide leak led to the discovery of squalid living conditions for her two children. 29-year-old Christina Wright has been charged with endangering the welfare of her children. Two officers were shot in front of the Ferguson, Missouri Police Department early this morning as demonstrators gathered after the resignation of the city's police chief in the wake of a scathing Justice Department report alleging bias in the police department and court. A 32-year-old officer was shot in the face and a 41-year-old officer was shot in the shoulder. Both are hospitalized in serious condition. No word on the shooters.
