The Philadelphia Eagles NFL schedule has been released. The Eagles will open the season on the road with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football September 14th. The home opener in Sunday September 20th, a 4 o'clock start with the Dallas Cowboys. A game to circle - Sunday, December 13th when LeSean McCoy and the Buffalo Bills come to town.

One person was killed overnight after his vehicle crashed into a tree along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia. It happened 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound inner lanes near Ryan Avenue in the city's Mayfair section. Police say the 40-year-old driver was trapped inside and had to be cut out of the vehicle. He was rushed to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Philadelphia Folksong Society has released the initial lineup for this year's 54th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival. As always, the fest will be held on the Old Pool Farm, in Upper Salford Township near Schwenksville, PA, on August 13-16. Emergency crews responded to the scene of a bus accident in Mount Laurel, Burlington County this afternoon. The incident happened sometime after 3:30 pm at 13 Lenape Court where the school bus left the road, travelled across the front lawn, and hit the front of the house. There were children on the bus at the time but none were injured. The bus driver did suffer minor injuries. No word on what caused the crash. It is still under investigation.

A Philadelphia woman accused of dumping her quadriplegic son in the woods so she could visit her boyfriend in Maryland has been released from a hospital and is facing extradition. Nyia Parler is in custody and is due in court Tuesday in Montgomery County, Maryland. Philadelphia police officers will pick her up if she agrees to return. Despite having the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in Kensington that killed a 2-year-old boy, Philadelphia Police say the search for two people who were inside the vehicle is still ongoing. The late-model white Infiniti ‘M’ series struck a 2-year-old boy and his mother as they crossed Mascher Street near Lehigh Avenue around 7 p.m. on April 13th. A man from New York City was arrested last week and charged with smuggling cigarettes in Delaware. 25-year-old Mugahid Tahir Al Ghazali was stopped for speeding on state Route 1 south of Odessa. Authorities uncovered 394 cartons of untaxed cigarettes inside Al Ghazali's rental vehicle that they say were obtained in Virginia. He was charged with possession of untaxed cigarettes and attempting to evade Delaware excise tax. He was released after posting $5,500 bond.

Lower Makefield Township Police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing person from the Yardley area. 88-year-old Francis McDonald went missing late Sunday night from the 1000 block of River Road in Yardley, near the areas of Slate Hill Development and Maccelsfield Park. McDonald has dementia. He was last seen wearing a striped polo shirt, blue pants, and a tan jacket. He is not from the area and does not have access to any vehicles.

Tim Tebow is in town now and is expected to sign a one year deal with the Eagles Monday afternoon. The last time Tebow played football in the NFL was in a 2013 preseason game with the New England Patriots.
