Philadelphia police are investigating the death of psychiatrist, Dr. Howard Baker at the Rodeway Hotel on Walnut Street in Center City this week. The 75 year old Lower Merion doctor was found dead on the floor of one of the guest rooms. He was found naked with a leather belt wrapped around his neck. A person of interest is being questioned in the case.

Police are looking for two men they say took a bag filled with diamonds from a man walking in Center City. It happened at 6:00 in the evening on the 1100 block of Sansom Street. Authorities say the 44-year-old victim was carrying a shoulder bag containing nearly $350,000 worth of loose diamonds. 29-year-old Kyle Crosby of Mount Laurel, NJ, pled guilty Tuesday to murdering his wife last New Year's Eve and dumping the body in a wooded area in rural Maryland. Crosby entered a guilty plea to Aggravated Manslaughter and Hindering Apprehension and will serve 31 years in state prison. Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin was suspended today with pay by the state's Court of Judicial Discipline for his involvement in the "Porngate" scandal. A SEPTA bus driver under investigation for allegedly striking a passenger last week was suspended Monday without pay. The action comes days after a video surfaced showing the driver allegedly dousing a young female passenger with water and hitting her twice in the face. Detectives are investigating the death of an unidentified man who was shot while he walked his puppy on the 300 block of Horton Street in the Carroll Park section of West Philadelphia. Police responded to a call about gunshots just before 7:00 Monday. When they arrived, they found the man, who appeared to be in his mid-20s, shot in the head and bleeding heavily.
