The Penn Museum in University City has been 'rearranging the furniture' the past couple of days, but instead of adjusting some couches and chairs, they are moving a 3,000-year-old stone sphinx that weighs 25,000 pounds. The statue is of Pharaoh Ramses II is the largest sphinx statue in the western hemisphere. It arrived in Philadelphia by boat and landed in Port Richmond in 1913. A black bear that has been seen in areas of Bucks and Montgomery Counties was spotted in the East Falls section of Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, 6/12. The approximately 100-pound bear was roaming on train tracks just west of the East Falls SEPTA station at around 11:20 a.m. Train service has not been affected. Two teens were shot and injured while riding the Broad Street Line on Wednesday night, 6/5. It happened around 9:45 p.m. inside a train on the northbound side at SEPTA's City Hall station.
