The Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, SEC, Pac-12, AAC, Atlantic 10, Conference USA, MAC and WAC have canceled their conference basketball tournaments.
The NHL announced that it has decided to pause the 2019-20 season beginning tonight, Thursday, March 12, due to concerns from coronavirus COVID-19.

Many are extending spring break and using that time for faculty to prepare for remote learning. Philadelphia police have arrested and charged a man in the shooting of a 4-year-old boy on Saturday night, 3/7. 23-year-old Jerrod Miner is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and weapons charges. It happened around 8 p.m. on the 5500 block of North 4th Street in the city's Olney section. Miner was inside the home playing around a group of children when he brought out a gun.
