The governors of several northeast states announced on Monday, 4/13, that they are forming a COVID-19 Regional Advisory Council with the explicit goal of determining how the region 'opens backs up' following the coronavirus crisis. The entire area can expect significant stormy weather on Monday, 4/13. There is a High Wind Warning that will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 55 to 60 mph. Down the shore those wind gusts could be 60 to 70 mph. According to the NWS warning, "Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected." New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy issued an executive order on Saturday, 4/11, that increased social distancing measures on public transit and in food establishments. All passengers and drivers on NJ Transit as well as on private transit carriers will be required to wear a mask or other face covering when riding unless they cannot for a medical reason.
