The City of Philadelphia lifted the coronavirus COVID-19 vaccination mandate this past Wednesday, 2/16, on dining establishments. The mandate went into effect on January 3. It included restaurants, bars, sports venues, cafes, food courts, movie theaters, bowling alleys, casinos, catering halls, and other venues that serve food/drink to consume on premises. Masks must still be worn indoors in the city, unless you are actively eating/drinking. Individual establishments may wish to keep their own vaccine requirement.

The Department of Public Health also released a four tiered response plan to clarify mitigation requirements surrounding masking, vaccinations, and testing. "The new response levels are based on case counts, positivity, hospitalizations and the rate in change of cases," Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Cheryl Bettigole explained. "They will provide transparency in to what city residents and business owners can expect going forward." The four levels include All Clear, Mask Precautions, Caution, and Extreme Caution. Find the details of each level at the link below. The city is now on level 2 or Mask Precautions as numbers are going down.
