A contracted travel nurse who attacked another worker at a New Jersey hospital and set them on fire on Monday, 2/7, has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound. On Tuesday 2/8, 31-year-old Nicholas Pagano of West Deptford, Gloucester County, was discovered in his vehicle in a wooded area in Waterford, Camden County, with a gunshot to his chest. Authorities believe he stole the gun from his brother. Early Monday morning, Pagano attacked a 54-year-old female worker at Hackensack University Medical Center with a wrench and set her on fire with a torch. She suffered third-degree burns to her upper body and hands as well as a laceration to the head. She was transferred to another medical facility for treatment. Pagano fled the scene. He had been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful weapons possession before he was found.

Police are searching for three suspects wanted for kidnapping and man and holding a whole family captive over the weekend while forcing the man to withdraw large amounts of cash from banks around the city. The 45-year-old man was held at gunpoint and kidnapped on Friday afternoon, 2/4, on the 4600 block of Decatur Street in Holmesburg. The 'criminal gang' forced their way into his home and held his wife, 10-month-old son, the man's 68-year-old father, and his wife's friend captive. The suspects then took the man to various ATM locations to take out cash. One of the victims was tortured. The rest were not physically harmed. Police were called as soon at the family were released around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, 1/6. Police are looking at surveillance video from the ATM locations. If you have any information, call at 215-686-TIPS.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a pizza delivery driver was shot in the head in North Philadelphia on Monday night, 2/7. It happened around 8:10 p.m. on the 1400 block of West Mayfield Street. The 40-year-old driver was out making a delivery when he was shot and then crashed into a home. Police believe he may have been targeted and that the gunman may have placed the delivery order. The food was still in the car, but officials do not know if anything was stolen. The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made. If you have any information, call police at 215-686-TIPS.
